How to outreach and engage
youth at risk of social isolation?
Nine nonprofit organisations from the EU sought to provide this question with an answer, analyzing the characteristics of the phenomenon and defining strategies to identify, prevent and tackle the phenomenon.
This project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under the Grant Agreement no. 2019-3-IT03-KA105-017178.
Nine focus groups on "Youth: peer relations, risk of isolation and prevention" were implemented in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Hungary. Over 130 participants were involved, such as youth workers, trainers, educators, youth leaders and representatives of youth organizations.
A four-day seminar, held in October 2021 in Naples (ITA), involved 29 youth workers from 9 organizations, who shared experiences, skills, techniques, strategies and good practices, to define shared methodologies and tools, which converged into the ePublication "Social isolation: techniques and strategies to identify, prevent and combat the phenomenon".
The participants in the international seminar, supported by their organisations, collected the results of the project activities into the ePublication "Social isolation: techniques and strategies to identify, prevent and combat the phenomenon". The ePublication is freely downloadable from our project website and readable online in a flipbook version.
